The chicken is not deep - fried, and for better result you can marinate overnight before frying.
Ingredients:1. 7 shallots
2. 2 cloves of garlic
3. ½ cm lengkuas
4. 2 cm turmeric
5. 2 cm ginger
6. 1 stalk of lemongrass
7. 1 tsp of fennel powder (jintan manis)
8. 1 tsp of cumin powder (jintan putih)
9. 1 tsp of coriander powder (ketumbar)
10. ½ chicken, cut to 8 pieces
11. 2 tsp salt
12. 1 tsp sugar
13. 2 Tsp sweet soy sauce
14. 5 – 6 Tbs oil (subjective)
Preparation:
1. Ingredient 1 – 6, blend to pulp
2. In a bowl, combine them with the fennel, cumin and coriander powder, salt, sugar and soy sauce.
3. Coat the chicken well with this mixture
4. Heat oil in a flat non – stick pan, to the level of ½ cm deep.
5. Fry the chicken, turning them over to cook and brown evenly.
6. Sometimes I’d tilt the pan a little and deep – fry them if the chicken pieces are thick.
