These widgets and add-on are just the normal everyday stuffs you see on blogs but some are tweaked for better effects. Me, I like the fun in experimenting and luckily they turned out well.
I got all my hacks and tweaks from here:
- Tag cloud: Label Cloud / Tag Cloud for Blogger (Blogger Widgets). The author also included links to look up for html codes to modify the font colours, which is why my tag cloud becomes pink =)
- Subscription & Bookmark buttons: AddThis.com
- Thumbnails of related blog post: LinkWithin. Very useful to show older posts just below your newer ones.
- Read more" hack: How To Add The Blogger "Read More" Expandable Posts Link (eBlog Templates) That's how I got all my posts to be shortened on the main page and expanded into full post in the individual pages.
The rest are normal stuffs that comes with the template and Blogger.
Happy trying! =)

A new lay - out, again...
Well, I couldn't help it. I just came back from my dreary induction course, and was suddenly irritated by the mess in my room. So I switched on the laptop and logged into my Blogger account, going through all my blogs.
I dunno why, but suddenly I felt that this particular blog looked messed up too. So just like that, I Googled "blogger theme" and surf for new templates, especially a 3 - column one. And so my search landed me here at Blogger Templates where there are just so many templates for you too choose. But I like this one, Black Brown Art; it loads pretty fast, the color reminds me of chocolate, it's neat and simple, just my thing.
But the thing with lay - out changing is that you will lose all or most of your widgets, so I had to save my original templates first and the copy - paste of my widgets html / text. Then there was the tweaking of the codes to suit the appearance (especially fonts) to my liking and to insert the meta tags and the Blogger hack for that "Read more...". By the time I finished, I was wondering why on earth was I crazy enough to change my lay - out...
But still, I might change my lay - out again =)

Check out this FREE widget… LinkWithin.
I LOVE this FREE widget!
I received the e – mail from a representative of the company on one fateful day in February promoting this widget and so, I decided to surf the site and check out what it’s all about.
And the results… see below at all those “You might like these stories:”, that is the widget. It functions to look up for all previous posts related to your current post and link them together automatically on the same page. This way, all your old posts will be brought up again to the surface instead of being buried unread by new visitors.
To get the widget in your blog is SO simple! Just go to the site (you can click on its link below this article, just hover your mouse over it and click!) and type in your blog address in the specified area, followed by installing the widget into your blog (they’ll do it for you) and in a few minutes it’s in your blog. No complicated html works required. Now just how simple is that? Plain awesome!!!
And so I proclaim, I am SO in LOVE with this FREE widget!

Ads... Nuffnang, Amazon, AdSense
Since everyone is putting them up, urging me to, and yapping so much about them, I decided to try myself by applying to Nuffnang, Amazon Affiliates and the good - old AdSense. So let's see how it'll turns out... I hope I'm not pushing it too much though.
The only thing I like about these ads is that they become somewhat a form of decoration since they are flashy and so on. LOL Thank God they don't clutter up on the page.
Now, to study!!! And phew, my viva voce went fine except for minor glitches and tongue slips =) I think it's a good day indeed today LOL

My KB days: the polystyrene war
Back then I thought only UMS (Univ. Malaysia Sabah) is doing the anti – polystyrene war thing. But they use an equally environmentally unfriendly product to replace polystyrene container, plastic containers, telling students to recycle it by using it over and over again when they pack food from the café. Ha! From what I see, all those plastic containers either ended up heaped and unwashed in the washroom, or thrown away despite the fact that they cost RM0.50. Next, the café felt that the plastic container campaign is putting a strain on their budget so they switched to plastic bags and they still charge us RM0.50 o_O; While this cheaper alternative reduces the mess in the washroom, it doesn’t change the fact that again, they are using an environmentally unfriendly product.
Which is why, it was a pleasant surprise to find that they are using either hawker-style oil-based paper, or a biodegradable container made of palm oil waste here in USM (Univ. Sains Malaysia). The campaign was started in main campus (Penang) around early 2008 before extended to the health campus (Kelantan).
It’s not just the fact that polystyrene is environmentally unfriendly, it’s also because they have a long term effect on health that this campaign was issued.

A poster on anti – polystyrene container campaign: The White Coffin.
Save the Earth! And ourselves, of course. Peace ^_^
By the way, this was my lunch that day from the USM café. Chicken chop, nothing to shout about, looks like banana fritters at first glance, but edible.
And cool chairs in the library. Nice to zzz in...
