Bellevue Hotel is one of those colonial hotel at Penang Hill. It's a small and quaint hotel furnished with yesteryear items, has a panoramic view restaurant and its own Aviary Garden that stocks up on various birds and plants. The review on Tripadvisor give a mixed up impressions, and I did not stay here so I shall refrain on making any statements on the 12 rooms available here.
The view of Penang below from the restaurant was spectacular indeed, a nice spot on a sunny day to sit down and enjoy a cuppa and fresh breeze.
It's a simple place really so I have no high expectation from the start, so I just sat down and enjoyed a cup of Cameron's strawberry tea.
Some fried samosas that we suspected is a frozen food product hehehe XD It was OK. Like I said, no expectations.
Chicken chop with fries, we asked for mayonnaise and chili sauce. Otherwise, pretty edible.
Fish and chips. Edible. Pretty good when served hot amidst the cool temperature and to a hungry person. Again, extra mayonnaise and chili sauce. We are Malaysians after all. If you are lloking for other eating options, don't worry, there are many eateries out there on Penang Hill, it's just a matter of hygiene and price.
