Teh Tarik Place @ Empire - your upbeat Malay stall

What brought us into this place was this hanging rattan chair. We thought it would be cool to swing around while eating and chit chatting hehehe :D The concept of this place is what you'd call an upbeat, expensive Mamak / hawker stall.

Coolers for a hot day... fresh watermelon juice especially for parched throats from too much gossiping :D By the way, the hanging chairs turned out to be a bad thing since you have to swing yourself forward to eat while struggling to maintain hold at the table with your toes. So in the end we switched to good old immobile high chairs :p

Hot from the wok... the char kuey teow is pretty decent. Portion is good enough, generous enough with meat.

And the blue rice here is nasi kerabu. Blue enough, with sufficient amount of raw, crispy vegetables and a succulent ayam percik.

Prices are a bit more than what you're used to paying at your local Mamak and hawker stalls, but then again, it's Mamak inside a shopping mall with hanging rattan chairs and air - cond. Swing by if you don't mind having RM10 hawker dish over a good gossip.
