Masak - masak Melayu ~ Petola masak kicap

Easy vegetable, soft and juicy.

Ingredients:




1. 3 shallots, sliced thin
2. 2 cloves of garlic, sliced thin
3. Anchovies, a handful.
4. ½ red chilli
5. 1 petola, diced
6. 2 Tbs oil
7. Sweet soy sauce, 1/3 cup
8. Salty soy souce, 2 Tbs


Preparation:

1. Heat oil in flat pan, fry ingredient 1 – 4 till fragrant
2. Add in the petola and both soy sauces. Toss well
3. Cook for a while till the petola is slightly soft and shrunken. This should be around 2 - 3 minutes. Any longer and your petola will wilt. Let it stand for a while and the heat will help the petola ti soften and wilt further.

    I always look for easy fast cooking recipes. This one sound interesting though a few ingredients is quit new to me but let see.
