To celebrate a friend who came back recently from Ireland, we decided to dine again at this al fresco steak place. After all, my last visit was quite pleasant here.
Sitting in? Air-cond and all.
Or sitting out in the night air? Well, if you wanna gossip your heart out, outside is more suitable because you wouldn't sound to noisy in the open air. A plus point, the checkered table cloth gave off a charming but casual air. Thank God no smoker was around, though we kinda figure that maybe the smokers rather burn off their money than eat at a place like this. Their loss then.
Chilled fruit juice ~ Cranberry for me ~ We were inside initially but decided to go out, because, as I mentioned, we wanna gossip. It would kinda disturb others inside if we did it there.
Starter for gossips ~ Crispy Squid Fritters with sour cream and papaya salsa. Overall OK, but the papaya was too ripe =P
Norwegian Salmon Medallion and Lobster Dumpling - The Chef Recommendation kinda fall flat with the soggy dumpling... We were also wondering, did they really put any lobster in this dumpling? The Salmon was OK but we could not figure out the spiced green pea sauce. And also, frozen vege is never a good idea for a fancy dish.
Saved by the steak. Air Flown Australian Premium Beef - Tenderloin. Medium rare is good enough to preserve the juiciness and tenderness of the meat.
And who says guys can't gossip? =D
