Peace... @ Purple Cane Teahouse, Ipoh

Here you get the Zen feeling while sipping high quality tea... Screw the traffic jam and difficult parking. It's worth the trouble to get here, that scratch - and - win parking ticket too.

Mix and match table and chairs give it a very relaxed ambiance. There's also low table and cushions to sit on if you want to.

Table for two? Or the private room?

For cooler, jasmine guave tea. Fragrant and texture in a glass.

Healthy appetizer before the main meal, lei cha tea soup with crackers to dip in and also cold acar which is my must have every time I visit this place, which is like every one or two weekly :D

Another favourite starter, piping hot fried tofu flavored with crab and shrimp with lei cha cream sauce.

Our main, lei cha home made noodle which we shared considering the amount of starters we had. There's also rice and vermicilli variant but I love the feeling of eating home made noodles, there's something rustic and homey about the uneven size of the noodles. The crunchy pine nuts add texture to this dish.

And finally of course, is dessert, a healthy one too. Jasmine tea pudding, representing autumn in the 4 season tea - based pudding offered here. Fragrant and cool in your mouth, with a nice after - taste.

Come here if you want some peace of mind after a bad day. I do :)
