Lunch promotion @ David's Diner, Greentown Ipoh

Not a bad place to get a Western food lunch when we have the extra bucks to splurge because at a price of RM18.90 you can get a set lunch of a main, 2 sides, soup and a drink (lemonade). Portion wise they are not stingy with it.

Let's start with the soup, on the menu is either cream of mushroom or chicken which is fine either way. By the time I finished this, I feel quarterly full hahaha :)

The warm rolls and butter that come along with the soup.

 Rib (beef) with 2 sides, mashed potato and corn. Ok, this may look small and a tad ugly but for me it's pretty filling after I'm done with it. Sauce is sweet - sour with hint of BBQ taste, and the meat is surprisingly tender and easily pealed off from the rib.

Lamb shoulder with 2 sides, mash potato and corn. Fatty, I admit, when served hot the fat was juicy and dripping. Sauce is flavorful.

To finish it, we decided to have a rich dessert of Choc cheese cake. I had to share this because I was so full by my meal.

Overall, the place is fine. Ambiance is good with the attempt at American - style diner. Service can be slow and haphazard during peak hours as they are forever out of staffs. On weekend the place is usually empty though, especially at off - lunch or off - dinner hour. They have tons of stuffs on their menu ranging from pasta to Mexican, steaks (don't expect hi - fi stuffs like how you'd like it done), breakfast - lunch - dinner items, desserts etc. Their cakes are pretty decent. For a first - timer, try their lunch set and day's special.
