My Penang Solo Stumble 14 ~ English high tea @ Eastern & Oriental Hotel, Georgetown, Penang as the finishing touch

Fondly known as The E&O, the charming colonial hotel with its well - preserved elegance since 1885 greets its guess with its grand languorous setting of yesteryear.

Situated along Lebuh Farquhar, it is a center of hub bub of art, culture and classy events. At my time of visit, they were exhibiting photography from a famous visiting photographer.

Situated along Lebuh Farquhar, its seafront faces the Malacca Strait endless blue water and sky on a day of good weather. So take a seat outdoor and settle down to enjoy a lovely Traditional English Afternoon Tea at 1885. (Seriously, the cafe is called 1885)

My chamomile tea. Let it steep while its sweet aroma calm your senses.
A selection of plain and chococolate chip scones served with home made butter and strawberry jam, assorted finger sandwiches (cucumber, egg mayo, smoked salmon, cured beef).
